Thanks for stopping by! I'm Carolyn, the face behind Designed by the C. I am a designer and illustrator with a love for all creative things. I have a strong passion for design and have had a paint brush in my hand since birth. Long Beach, New York is where all of my creative magic happens and the ocean inspires me every single day.

I have worked in many different areas of design--including the fashion, beauty, and editorial industries. Working in both the print and packaging worlds, combined with my painting background, brought me to my true love--custom handcrafted stationery. For me, it’s all in the little details, from the packaging to finding ways to make a design truly unique. Most importantly, I get to bring a little excitement and joy to the person who will be receiving my piece of art and love in the mail. (who doesn’t love gorgeous snail mail?!) The best part of my stationery design is being able to create a theme and see it play through the event from start to finish. I strongly believe in collaboration and will work closely with you to create a one of a kind design made just for you. Whether you are getting married or throwing a serious bash for someone in your life, little or big, I am here to make all your visions come to life!
